Get me 10,000 views, 1,000 likes, 100 comments & 10 shares on LinkedIn and every time you get me this metrics, charge me 10k per piece of content.
This was proposed by a prospect after almost 2 hours into the meeting! She’s running a very successful kids clothing brand, exporting to over 18 countries.
I politely declined her offer because
A.) We, at Kreative Machinez, don’t work on this model (per piece basis) as it lacks of strategic focus for a long term marketing plan.
B.) I know for a fact, that’s a sure shot approach of failing and damaging brand reputation. Chasing numbers for numbers’ sake can result in content that feels inauthentic or “spammy,” potentially alienating the target audience and undermining trust.
But here’s what I shared while leaving
When you are making a post on LinkedIn. Take care of the following:-
1. Start with a very hilarious or an inquisitive first line.
2. Post content that is either informative, edutainment or an experience worth sharing- Tell a Story.
3. While writing, keep reminding yourself that you are writing this post to engage, to connect and to spark a conversation.
